PTS: MCAL Field Hockey Handbook (rev. 10/19/24) §7a (3 points for a win, 1 for a tie). GD bars are per division, scaled to MCAL’s biggest goal difference (52) · the heavier line under 6th marks the Tournament line

Notes: MCAL

  • MaxPreps orders the MCAL table by winning percentage; MCAL orders it by points, so MaxPreps’ places differ from ours. After Oct 22, MaxPreps also counts MCAL tournament games in its league records; ours never do.
  • University SF: overall record 12-1-3 here, 13-1-2 on MaxPreps. We publish our own computation.

PTS: MCAL Field Hockey Handbook (rev. 10/19/24) §7a (3 points for a win, 1 for a tie). Ties: head-to-head winning percentage, then record against the teams above the tie, then spring draw numbers (MCAL Tie-Breaking Criteria (rev. 3/26) step 1, step 2, step 3). How standings are computed →

Teams have played between 9 and 12 of 16 league games, so points favour teams that have played more. LEFT is league games with no counted result yet — still to play, or played and not reported. MAX is the most points a team could reach if it won all of them. The order is points, as MCAL rules require. If the season ends with games unplayed, MCAL General Rules (with an incomplete schedule, winning percentage replaces points); we will show that order then.

How to read these tables

GD = league goals for minus goals against. Bars are scaled to the league's biggest goal difference (52). A real 0 shows as 0; a score we do not have shows as an em dash. Forfeits count in the win-loss-tie record, not in the goal columns.

GP is league games counted of those scheduled. LEFT is league games with no counted result yet — still to play, or played and not reported. MAX is the most points a team could reach if it won all of them: a ceiling, not a projection.

The 2px rule after 6th place is the Tournament line — MCAL 2026 Field Hockey Play-off sheet (six schools; seeds 1 and 2 have byes).

This order is our computation from published results, not a league ruling: the official tiebreak belongs to MCAL.
